Kountry Road Kennel's Policy

Considerable consideration should be given prior to the purchase of a new puppy. Protecting our puppies and customers is of great concern. We ask that you strongly consider your decision to purchase a new puppy for no less than 10 days. Please use this time to educate yourself on the particular breed you have chosen. All breeds are not suitable for all lifestyles and environments.

Deposits are nonrefundable

Shipping via air is a service we cordially provide for the convenience of our customers, at customers expense. Commercial shipping of a young puppy can cause stress to the puppy. Kountry Road Kennel reserves the right to determine the puppy's physical and emotional fitness for shipping. It is our recommendation that puppies be picked-up at our facility or arrangements can be made to meet our customers at the Fort Smith, Arkansas Regional Airport. Most airlines allow puppies in pet carriers to be placed under the passengers seat. Please take into consideration all of the above before making your decision.

Microchips are implanted in puppy purchased from Kountry Road Kennel, for an additional fee. In order to assure proper identification of your puppy we can micro chipped your puppy. Documents for registering the microchip number, identifying you as the new owner of this puppy will be forwarded to you, by mail after the receipt of the puppy. In the unfortunate event your new puppy is lost or stolen a microchip can be very effective in aiding the safe return of your pet.

Spay or Neuter.
Spaying or neutering protects against unwanted puppies, house pets are easier to manage and males are less likely to wander. Spayed and Neutered pets make better neighbors. Consult your veterinarian concerning the appropriate age for the procedure, the potential risks and the added health benefits. If selling a puppy to another breeder, the breeder has to be USDA Licensed and Inspected. License must be in their own name.

A licensed veterinarian will examine the puppy no more than ten days prior to being shipped. An acclaimation of health, will be issued by the veterinarian and travel with puppy. The standard health examination includes: Heart and Lungs, Coat and Skin Condition, Knee and Hip Joints, Eyes, Ears and Mouth, also General appearance of the puppy. The puppy has been treated against internal and external parasites. This puppy has received preventive vaccinations for Kennel Cough, Canine Distemper, Para influenza, and Paco virus. The puppy’s dew claws have been removed. The puppy has been properly weaned from its mother and is being fed a high quality puppy food. A vaccination record will accompany your puppy. This record is for you and your veterinarian’s information concerning treatments and treatment dates. Future treatments, i.e. Vaccinations, worming, dental care etc. are at the desecration of you and your veterinarian. The puppy is a live animal. Like all live species, environment, nourishment, exposure, neglect, abuse, stress, disease and genetics are conditions that may or may not affect the short or long term health of this puppy. Kountry Road Kennel does not warrant any circumstances or conditions effecting the short or long term health of said puppy that is out of our control. Buyer agrees to present this puppy to a licensed veterinarian of his or her choosing for a routine health screening in no more than five (5) business days of receipt of puppy. Failure to do so voids and nullifies this Replacement Health Warranty. Buyer agrees to assume all cost for the initial health screening exam and or any subsequent exams and or any services or medical treatments preformed by a licensed veterinarian. No reimbursement will be made to any veterinarian or buyer for veterinarian services by Kountry Road Kennel without the prior expressed written consent of Kountry Road Kennel. Upon initial exam should the attending licensed veterinarian diagnose any condition detrimental to the puppy’s general health or conclude that the puppy is defective and unfit for purchase, notify Kountry Road Kennel immediately. Failure to notify Kountry Road Kennel of veterinarian’s report and the microchip identification number of the puppy within (2) business days will void and nullify the Replacement Health Warranty. Should the Replacement Health Warranty become applicable and all documents pertaining to the puppy must be returned to Kountry Road Kennel at the expense of buyer. Documents include but are not limited to Registration Application, original Health Certificate, all reports prepared by the attending veterinarian, shipping manifest, etc. Failure to comply will void and nullify the Replacement Health Warranty. Upon completion of the buyer’s claim requirements buyer then has the right to select a replacement puppy of equal value but not to exceed the value of the original purchased puppy. If a suitable replacement puppy is not available upon request of buyer, said replacement will be made when a suitable replacement puppy becomes available. Replacement cost, i.e. replacement puppy and freight only, will be at the expense of Kountry Road Kennel. This Replacement Health Warranty is exclusive to replacement only. Kountry Road Kennel reserves the right to make a determination that both parties are better served by offering the buyer a refund in lieu of a replacement puppy. This decision is at the discretion of Kountry Road Kennel. I, the buyer of said puppy, state that I have read and understand the above policy and foregoing Replacement Health Warranty and agree therewith.

Thank You!!
